For a New Year

I read these two quotes (day 71 & day 72) in Meditations from the Mat a few days before New Year’s.  I could say a lot about what they mean to me, and how I think they might shape my year, but I think I’ll just let the quotes do the talking.  Blessings on your new year, friends.

Do you want to improve the world?  I don’t think it can be done.  The world is sacred.  It can’t be improved.

Behold, what I have seen to be good and to be fitting is to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of his life which God has given him.

Ecclesiastes 5:18

Beautiful! I love the quotes, so fitting ;) Your blog continues to inspire me, I’m grateful for the hard work you do to get all this wonderful stuff to us in cyberworld! I know—- I have a blog (Waldorf/kids/farming/crafts) and it is a major thing I do everyday. I love it though, and hope others do too.
