Nine Months

I’ve been terribly lax about posting baby photos, I know. Gabriel is nine months old today! He remains a total peach, and it cracks me up that in this photo you can’t see his red hair at all, since that’s what everyone oohs and aahs over in real life. He is on the move – started crawling at eight months and spends most of his time pulling himself up to standing. Don’t get in his way or interrupt his mission – you will be rewarded with crazed dinosaur shrieking. At least, that’s what we call it.

In other news, I started my patchwork quilt. Once I finally gave up on the idea that it should be perfect, it was pretty easy to begin. And now I’m excited, to see some scraps of fabrics I love, given new life.

With some wonderful friends, I’m reading Homemaking & Personal Development: Meditative Practice for Homemakers.  It’s great.  I’m also listening again to Pema Chodron’s The Fearless Heart.  Together, they’re like a jump into a cold lake – a wake up that I needed badly.  Thank goodness for friends, and for good books.

Happy Nine Months, and to you too, Mama!!! Such a great milestone! And thanks for the book recommendations, how do I explain that to the mortgage collector, among others, lol? Happy quilting!

Oh love the picture of your little one, Gabriel. Those are the best pictures, the ones you get out of the blue, not the posed ones. Such a sweetie!
